Hello
Since reaching our 3,000,000 user milestone, the HootSuite team has been busy building steam for some exciting announcements this February.
Starting today, everyone will have access to the launch of HootSuite’s Engagement API, the next wave of apps joining the ever-expanding
App Directory, and an external integration with
click.to. Plus, learn about HootSuite’s involvement in
SXSW 2012.
#3MillionOwls
It was a momentous day in HootSuite’s three year history as we announced our 3,000,000th signup on January 17th, 2012. We’re picking up speed as the dashboard continues to ride an impressive growth curve having taken 24 months to reach its first million, eight months to reach two million, and six months to reach three million users. To celebrate the occasion, we released an infographic (
high-res version) highlighting signup milestones and usage patterns.
Apps A-Coming: Digg, TrendSpottr, and InboxQ
Three new tools are available immediately to all HootSuite users (Basic, Pro, and Enterprise) and will allow teams managing social campaigns to collaborate across an even greater number of social networks.
Digg - Using the Digg app for HootSuite, HootSuite users can view current top news stories, search stories, Digg stories, discover and share content from the web using the dashboard, and more.
Trendspottr - The TrendSpottr app for HootSuite allows users to search for trending content by topic, keyword or phrase, select from a list of popular searches, share trending stories, videos and more via the social networks they’ve added to the HootSuite dashboard.
InboxQ - With the InboxQ app for HootSuite, users can find questions on Twitter based on keyword and phrase searches, fine tune search results, and engage directly with those asking questions, all from within the HootSuite dashboard.
Open Engagement
HootSuite’s new, open Engagement API offers users the benefit of multiple top network integrations, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and numerous others in the
App Directory. Also by opening the API to the developer community, we can look forward to more advanced tool functionality and further integration of HootSuite’s media management with marketing functions.
Click, click, click... Click.
HootSuite is pleased to announce the external integration of the dashboard with
click.to, an application designed to streamline social sharing and app use. Users will be able to send messages through
click.to to their HootSuite dashboard with one click which then posts to multiple social media accounts – adding another level of automation to your social media initiatives.
SXSW 2012
HootSuite will once again have owls on the ground at this year’s SXSW 2012. Included in the parliament is VP of Community,
Dave Olson, whose presentation,
Crowd Sourcing Community Projects like Tom Sawyer, will discuss “methods for channeling the passion of audiences into tangible results in much the same manner as Tom Sawyer recruited his fishing pals to help whitewash his fence.”
Hooting On
Stay tuned to the blog as we will have more details on these announcements later this week, including information on the latest additions to the
App Directory and what’s possible with the HootSuite Engagement API.
As our customer base grows, we look forward to seeing the unique extensions and integrations that developers and partners are creating for the
HootSuite App Directory. If you have ideas for apps, networks and tools, suggest them on the
HootSuite App Directory Feedback Channel.
We look forward to being a part of your continued social endeavors,
The HootSuite Team
